2017: YACWA’s Response to Strategy Regarding Range of Health Services for People Infected with, or Affected by, Viral Hepatitis in Western Australia

YACWA and Youth Educating Peers (YEP) combined to respond to the strategy regarding hepatitis in WA. Young people engage in behaviours that put them at risk of contracting the virus, thus making them relevant to the topic. YEP and YACWA discuss these issues on behalf of WA young people.

2017: Compulsory Treatment (Alcohol and Other Drugs) Bill 2016

In response to the Exposure Draft Bill, YACWA conducted a focus group meeting with young people who have experienced substance abuse. The focus group provided information on issues that must be considered in assessing the bill for the of youth in WA, this included, the current impact of drug use among children and young people and so on.
