2018: Oral Submission to the Federal Inquiry into the Future of Work and Workers

Young people face unique barriers in entering a changing workforce. Our submission focusses on how the government needs to address these emerging issues to ensure young people are able to enter a workforce that supports them.

On 12 March 2018, YACWA provided an oral submission to the Select Committee on the Future of Work and Workers, a Federal Inquiry into how technology is changing the way we work. Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN) committee member, Ming Luo, also attended to talk about how technology can improve employment accessibility for people living with disabilities, and her own experiences as a young person navigating entry into the workforce. A copy of our oral submission is attached.
