The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) is pleased to announce that the YACWA Small Grants Program Supported by Lotterywest has returned. The Program provides financial support for innovative engagement opportunities for young people that strengthen their resilience, capability and mental wellbeing. YACWA recognises the value of ongoing trusted relationships between young people and their communities. Building on the strength of these relationships, these funds will increase resources for communities and enable larger impact.
This small grant program will fund youth services and community organisations to meet emerging needs of young people. The grants will need to address one or both of the following two (2) areas:
- Early intervention and prevention to improve young people’s mental health and/or building communities and connections for young people
- Engage young people who are at risk of entering the youth justice system
WHO CAN APPLY
- Not-For-Profit Organisations;
- Local Government Associations;
- Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations; and
- Community Groups with auspiced agreements from an incorporated association.

Milestone Check
Your project will need to have reportable outcomes at four (4) months from your project’s commencement. A preview is currently available to view, but may be subject to change.
Note: this step is not applicable to projects completed in four months or less.
Acquittal Form
All projects will need to be acquitted within four (4) weeks of project completion and before December 1st 2026. A preview is currently available to view, but may be subject to change.
