Target audience	Organisations who want to develop their skills in involving young people in planning and decision making.
Overview	This practical workshop is designed so that attendees come away with the tools they need to confidently do this work. The topics covered include: Benefits of involving young people in planning and decision making  Unpacking the challenges and why we don’t do it Identifying where opportunities exist or where we are already doing it  Safe and effective consultation (including access and inclusion considerations, safety, informed consent, managing expectations, incentives and reimbursement, feedback mechanisms)  Exploring consultation tools and techniques that can be used in a variety of settings  This workshop includes groups discussions, an opportunity to apply what you have learned to a practical problem in your organisation, and a youth panel with young people who have experience being involved in consultations.
