Given that the WA State election is fast approaching on Saturday March 13, we wanted to highlight a number of key issues that young people are facing, to ensure that the community keeps them in mind when heading to the polls.
Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic the lives and livelihoods of Western Australians, especially young people and young people facing pre-existing disadvantage have been severely disrupted. However, COVID-19 did not cause many of the issues young people face, but rather unveiled and exacerbated issues that already existed. Young people have felt disillusioned and disregarded for a long time.
With that in mind, we hope that you will join us in calling on all political parties to commit to long-term action and bold investment with a vision for creating a better Western Australia for current and future generations of young people.
We’ve all been impacted by COVID-19, and we’re all in this together; so let’s work with each other to make our community a better place.
