The estimated 2,000 young people experiencing homelessness on any given night in Western Australia are invisible. The nature of youth homelessness means this figure may be a large underestimation.

An even tougher pill to swallow is the worsening situation for young people at-risk of homelessness. Youth Allowance and Newstart haven’t increased in real terms in years, and with WA’s cost-of-living getting higher, we’re not making things any easier for those at-risk of homelessness. But change is stirring in the community sector lately. Organisations are starting to band together and embrace the power of collective impact.

…and they want as much help as they can get.
